The Mountain Man knife is a model that Bark River has made before. Bark River Knives originally made them in 1095 and then again in A-2. This batch should out perform the older models by a very wide margin. Bark River Knives has used CPM-3V an a very thin cross section – just like the original thickness of the knife when is was the favorite belt knife of the American Mountain Man. This pattern is the most common carried in that period of our history. Most were made by the Russell Company and were branded “Green River”. These were the knives of all the Mountain Man Lore.
You will find them to be as handy and effective as they were back then. They are perfect for both field and kitchen use. Coupled with the traditional pattern and the CPM-3V Super Steel these cut like lasers.
